Production Process

Using the plating on plastic technology, Polymertal creates a hybrid material with benefits of both materials, low specific weight, fast time, and cost production of plastic with desirable strength, electrical conductivity, high thermal resistivity, and conduction of the metal. Polymertal uses carbon free and recycled material through a low energy process to provide an alternative to polluting non-recyclable composites.

Polymertal offers its unique chemical process of metal plating on a wide variety of polymers, including low energy plastics such as polyolefins and fluoropolymers. The most critical stage in the plating process is the surface preparation of the polymer. This stage is essential for the achievement of satisfactory adhesion strength between the polymer and the metal.

Polymertal is an approved and preferred vendor for leading Israeli defense and aerospace companies as Elbit, Rafael, and IAI, for plating on plastic, composite materials, and ceramic applications. Polymertal’s technology advantage is its highest quality, the ability to plate on parts with complex structure, and selective plating.

The process is compliant with RoHS standards.
